| There are those who hold that film photography is inheritly better than digital becaus of various reasons (almost none of them having to do with objective qualities and almost all of them having to do with subjective aestetics). Ladies in gentlemen, if I had shot this on film, a bottom shot of a guy pulling Factory's "death gap," I'd have congradulated myself on how I framed the shot pretty well, having it meet the rule of thirst from nearly every angle. I would have smiled about how I got a shot that only happens one or two times per contest. Folks, it would've been a day, maybe even DAYS before the self loathing borne of the realization that I forgot to tilt my flash to stop from horribly overexposing the shot to kick in. With digital, I can start hating myself right away. |
